Fabregas set to cheer Arsenal all the way to BPL title

For Arsenal fans, Cesc Fabregas is a rarity. Despite him leaving the Gunners against all of our wishes and leaving Arsene Wenger with a real problem replacing him, the Spanish international is not seen along with the likes of van Persie, Nasri, Adebayor and other former Gunners who we would cheerfully watch being set upon by a pack of wild ferrets.
There are various reasons for this, the main one being that he did not abandon us at the first chance and went back to the club he supported as a boy and always wanted to play for, FC Barcelona. The fact that they are one of the biggest clubs in the world and not one of our direct rivals helps us to understand his decision as well.
Another major reason why Fabregas is still held in the hearts of the Arsenal fans is that he is one himself. He has often spoken warmly of his time in north London and is said to regularly drive his new team mates to distraction with his tales of Arsenal.
And in a Mirror report, it is clear that Fabregas has been keeping a close eye on his former team this season and has been really impressed with what he has seen. He has urged the current Arsenal players to keep doing what they have been doing and feels that, if they do, he will be celebrating our first title in a decade with the rest of the Arsenal fans.
Cesc said, “It would be amazing. They need to be very consistent between now and the end of the season.
“I am very happy how they are playing. They have a strong squad, they are top of the league. I cannot wait to see if they can lift the trophy finally.”
Fabregas never got his hands on a title with the Gunners, because although he had played in a few cup games previously, his league debut did not come until the year after the invincibles. He did, however, get an FA cup winner’s medal in 2005, another trophy that could have Arsenal’s name on it this year. Fancy a double anyone?
